Connect Groups
The What & How of Connect Groups
These groups are longer term than our Pop-Up Groups and meet regularly (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) for at least a year. The size varies from 6-12 people and is held in someone’s home.
All that is required is that you:
Commit to regular participation
Do your part to prepare each week by pre-reading/watching so you can participate.
Connect Groups run all year and you can join one by clicking the button, fill in the form and we’ll get back to you ASAP with some options.
Connect Groups are an excellent way to build relationships and to learn more about the bible and Christian living. The small group setting allows for more meaningful discussions and feedback. Plus, they are often a lot of fun!
Leader Responsibilities & Checklist
If you're currently hosting or attending a Connect or Table Group through Restore, we’ve got a quick but important update to share.
Our insurer, has let us know they’re unable to guarantee cover for church-related activities happening in private homes. Since they can’t assess individual properties, things like injury or property damage during a group gathering may not be covered under our church insurance.
So, if you're hosting a group at your place, we recommend chatting with your home insurance provider to make sure you’re covered, especially when it comes to public liability. If you’re renting, it’s a good idea to check in with your real estate agent or landlord, as well as your contents insurance provider.
To help you feel confident and prepared, we’ve put together a simple Host Checklist with a few practical things to keep in mind when opening your home to your group.
