Who we are, what we're about, and what we want to see.
We're from all walks and stages of life. We're not perfect and don't pretend to be.
Who we are
The church is people - normal, everyday people. Restore Church is no exception. We're from all walks and stages of life. We're not perfect and don't pretend to be.
We're all different. But the one thing we have in common is that we believe that the greatest life, belonging and purpose you could ever want is to be found in Jesus. So, we are committed to working together to follow and represent him wherever we are in the hope of helping others find what we have found.
It's no accident you've found us. It doesn't matter how, just that you have. And we hope that what you have found has made you feel that you belong here.
Welcome, we're glad you came.
Because we believe God is in the business of making all things new.
We are people who see the world in a certain way. We believe God created a good world that's broken right now, but He hasn't given up on it. He is very much committed to restoring it to the way He intended it to be.
We are driven by hope because we know that the story isn't over. It's broken, yes, but it can be repaired. Possibilities exist everywhere because God has come to RESTORE all creation through the work of Jesus.
“To become the church of the future by doing different today.”
We live in a rapidly changing world and as a church we need to keep up if we hope to make a difference.
To that end we have set our sights on becoming the sort of church that will thrive and make a lasting kingdom impact, now and into the future, by pursuing these four strategic priorities over the next 10 years, starting now.
1. RADICAL GENEROSITY - we aim to fund our church operations independently of offerings. Why? So we can give it all away to make a real difference in people's lives.
2. A REPUTATION FOR DOING GOOD - we aim to be known for the work that we do and the difference that we make in our community and world, not our place on the street.
3. RELEVANCE - right now the under 30s comprise less than 10% of the church. We aim to shift that figure to 60% or 70% so the future is always present.
4. REMOTE PARTICIPATION - digital technology has reconfigured the way we live and the way we do church. We aim to harness the potential of this reality by creating ways for us to connect, engage and be equipped in the same things without always having to be in the same place.
Our mandate is to lead people to live the Way of Jesus
The Bible calls this discipleship. A disciple is a learner, someone who is learning to live the Way of Jesus.
For us that looks like learning and growing in these three ways:
Learning to listen to, obey and follow Jesus in all of life.
Learning to connect and contribute as part of a local church.
Learning to be a blessing in our world and invite others to discover the way of Jesus.
